Ms. Mayer began her legal career at Bohannan and Associates, LLC in 2014, where she progressed from Legal Assistant to Name Partner. Throughout her time in private practice, she has built a reputation for her compassionate and strategic approach to complex family law matters and criminal defense cases.

Ms. Mayer's private practice focuses heavily on family law, where she has represented spouses navigating the challenges of divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, and the division of community property. She has devoted a significant portion of her practice to this critical area, always prioritizing the best interests of the children involved. She works closely with her clients to develop tailored plans of action that are both economical and effective, whether through mediation or litigation. Her goal is to minimize the emotional and financial strain of family law disputes while providing thoughtful and zealous representation.

In addition to her family law practice, Ms. Mayer handles matters involving civil litigation, estate planning, and criminal defense. She is trained in mediation and alternative dispute resolution and is committed to helping her clients navigate the legal system with clarity and confidence.

Ms. Mayer currently serves as a Public Defender in St. Charles Parish, where she represents juveniles in the Juvenile Division and adults facing misdemeanor charges. Her commitment to public service and advocacy for the vulnerable members of her community is a driving force in her career.

Ms. Mayer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2018. She later obtained her Juris Doctor and accompanying certificates from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Her legal experience includes work in personal injury law and domestic violence advocacy. Ms. Mayer led educational presentations on domestic violence, dating violence, and bullying, and coordinated community outreach events.

A native of New Orleans, Ms. Mayer graduated as a Butterfly from Mount Carmel Academy in 2014. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Lousiana State Bar Association, and the Kenner Business Association. She also serves on the Kenner Civil Service Board.
