Arita M.L. Bohannan

Arita M. L. Bohannan is an award winning Author, Speaker, Attorney, Philanthropist, wife and mother.
Arita graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree before attending Loyola University New Orleans’ College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree and special certificates in common law and international law. Mrs. Bohannan’s work has been published in the Loyola Law Review, and in 2002 was a speaker at the Symposium against Domestic Violence. She was the winner of the 2001 Association of Trial Attorneys’ in-house trial competition. She worked briefly as a law clerk for the Orleans Parish’s district attorney’s office and as a clinical attorney for Loyola law school, the latter with the Indigent Defender Board. She is a member of several boards, including those serving victims of domestic and sexual violence, and often donates hours of pro bono work to those in need. She has owned a small family law firm since 2002 and is one of New Orleans most sought after domestic law attorneys.
Raised an army brat, Mrs. Bohannan was the victim of childhood sexual abuse. Her personal story, paired with her love of the law, has provided her with a unique perspective that enhances her writing and speaking. Her novel, Docket No. 76 has won an Indie Book Award for the Thriller Division. It was also a Finalist in the 1st Time Author Division. It has also won National Indie Excellence Award in the Thriller/Suspense Division. Mrs. Bohannan has been invited to speak at numerous events including several Key Note Addresses at Military Bases, schools, organizations and symposiums. Her speeches, while ever changing and topic specific, deliver a powerful and inspirational message.
Mrs. Bohannan lives in the suburbs of New Orleans, a city full of mystery and romance. Her and her husband host three to five fundraisers a year, and dedicated countless hours and funds to help others. If you ask her about herself, she would not boast of her academic or professional success, but of her family. She is married to Brad Bohannan, who owns several New Orleans bar–restaurant establishments and a music publishing company. Together, they have two sons, Deuce and Bryce. Her favorite pastime is traveling with her family and watching her boys play sports and find their way in the world.
Lauren Davey Rogers
Attorney at Law
Mrs. Rogers received a Bachelor of Arts in English from LSU in 2002. She then attended Loyola Law School and graduated in 2005 and was admitted to practice law later that year. She received certificates in both Civil Law and International Law. Prior to attending law school, Mrs. Rogers worked for the Honorable Kirk R. Granier of the 29th Judicial District and subsequently clerked for him after her first year of law school. She began her career with Bohannan, Rogers & Associates in 2003 and joined as an associate attorney after her admission to the bar. She became a partner in the firm in 2010. In addition to her extensive civil practice, Mrs. Rogers works as a criminal defense attorney for the 29th Judicial District Public Defenders office. She handles mainly juvenile criminal cases, child in need of care cases, misdemeanor offense, and DWIs. Her primary interests of practice are family law, wills and estates and personal injury. When not practicing law, Mrs. Rogers enjoys spending time with her husband and beautiful children.
Tika joined Bohannan, Rogers and Associates, LLC in 2012. Tika has worked as a paralegal since 2007 and has legal experience in the areas of personal injury, family law, civil litigation, probate, criminal law, traffic, collections, name changes etc… Tika is a member of the New Orleans Paralegal Association and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations where she keeps up date on the latest changes in the paralegal profession. She obtained an ABA certified Associates degree in Legal Studies in a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in. At Bohannan, Rogers and Associates, LLC Tika works as a paralegal assisting Arita and Lauren in drafting pleading and trial preparation. Since joining the firm, Tika ran a successful campaign and now serves as Justice of the Peace District 5 for St. Charles Parish. When not at the office, Tika enjoys spending time with her son and her family.
